As President of Starkey Strategies, Jenny provides strategic vision and planning efforts for business improvement districts and corporations. For over 15 years, Jenny has focused her passions of relationship building and storytelling to work with clients to drive positive change.
She has worked with renowned leaders and organizations in the Urban Place Management industry including: International Downtown Association, Downtown SF Partnership, Downtown Austin Alliance, Hartford BID, Downtown Tulsa Partnership, City of Denver, Englewood Downtown Development Authority, Littleton Downtown Development Authority and more.
Jenny is a member of the International Downtown Association (IDA), an accredited Leader in Place Management (LPM), and was selected as a 2016 IDA Emerging Leader Fellow. She served as a subject matter expert (SME) and developed curriculum for the International Downtown Association’s AICP-accredited Leadership in Place Management (LPM) certification, and was on the IDA Top Issues Council for Place Branding/Making.
Prior to founding Starkey Strategies, Jenny served as the Interim CEO for the Cherry Creek North BID in Denver, CO and the Senior Director of Marketing and Community Relations at Cherry Creek North BID where she provided strategic vision and oversaw operational excellence for the marketing, communications, community relations and events department.
Jenny has also served in urban management positions with the Downtown Denver Partnership and led marketing and communications efforts for Colorado-based international non-profits including Project C.U.R.E. and Engineers Without Borders.
