Bio

Kristina Scott, the Vice President for Strategy at Downtown Dayton Partnership, harnesses Dayton’s inventive spirit to address the challenges facing its downtown and seize transformative opportunities through commerce, community, and culture. She is an experienced nonprofit leader with extensive expertise in facilitating public-private-philanthropic partnerships. Before joining DDP in June 2024, Kristina directed the United Way of Greater Cincinnati’s policy and advocacy efforts across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. She developed a digital opportunity plan for a 16-county area in Southwest Ohio. Additionally, she has served as the CEO of Learn to Earn Dayton, a cradle-to-career network; executive director at Alabama Possible, an education advocacy nonprofit; and Managing Attorney for External Affairs at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. Kristina holds a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Florida and earned her juris doctor with distinction from Emory University. She and her husband, Tom, reside in Dayton’s Historic South Park Neighborhood with their pug, Stax, named after the Memphis soul label.
