Alex Stettinski is a veteran place management and economic development leader with over two decades of experience in BIDs, tourism, and downtown revitalization. Most recently, he served as CEO of the San Jose Downtown Association, where he guided the organization through a significant leadership transition after 34 years under its founding executive. He previously launched Nevada’s first BID as Executive Director of the Downtown Reno Partnership, earning national recognition from IDA for its innovative social outreach program. Earlier roles include leading economic development for the City of Beverly Hills, strategic planning for the West Hollywood tourism bureau, and helping elevate the Avenues of Art & Design into one of the West Coast’s premier arts districts. Born in Switzerland and raised in Germany, Alex brings an international perspective to his work and currently serves on IDA’s Board of Directors and Policy Committee.
