Having worked in downtown district management for over 20 years, Chip is a strong proponent of supporting social infrastructure and is fascinated by the intersection of the public realm and private interests. Prior to coming to lead the Downtown Boulder Partnership, Chip served as the Executive Director for the Downtown Association of Santa Cruz and has been a long-time advocate for arts, culture, and innovation.
Like many Place Management Professionals of my generation, I came to the work through indirect paths at a time when the industry was beginning to blossom through the leadership of IDA. In many ways, it feels like the growth of my career parallels the growth of the industry, and the connection is inseparable.
I am excited for the opportunity to attain this credential, joining the extraordinary community of my colleagues who have added this esteem to their portfolio.
