I have led Downtown Sioux Falls during one of its greatest periods of prosperity. My background in urban planning and small business management have proven to be a value skill set during my tenure as a community leader. Under my guidance, I have developed several other community leaders who have gone on to impact Sioux Falls and beyond.
My core belief is that cities are their people. Therefore, the most sociable cities are the most successful. It takes four essential pillars to foster sociable cities where people of different backgrounds can all flourish:
- Active transportation
- Arts and culture
- Compact, mix-use development
- Quality public spaces
My passion is the urban experience, and my purpose is to improve upon it.
