Bio

Since 2011, Debi Croucher has been the Executive Director of the Downtown Windsor BIA Association representing 680+ businesses in city centre. She has worked as a marketing and communications professional for 25 years, and spent 10+ years in BIA management. Her work in the corporate, municipal, retail, hospitality, entertainment, and not-for-profit sectors brings her total Community Development experience to more than 30 years. Debi has designed, developed, implemented and managed internal and external strategic marketing and communications campaigns and branding strategies for a wealth of clients, including including financial institutions, entrepreneurs, corporations and various diverse businesses. Debi specializes in directing brand positioning programs, managing events, program and product launches, and developing strategic marketing and public relations programs for emerging players and industry leaders. • Additionally, Debi has organized and executed large scale events such as the Ouellette Car Cruise, the Windsor International Film Festival, Balloonapalooza, Fiesta Latina, the Winter Fest Parades, and the Downtown Windsor Street Closures and Arts Fairs. Debi previously held the position of Director, Community Relations & Volunteer Services at Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital, and is actively involved in her community as a member of the Downtown Windsor Business Revitalization Association, St. Clair College’s Marketing Committee, and the Amherstburg Freedom Museum. Debi also served on the Board of Directors for Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island; Family Services Windsor-Essex; Life After Fifty—Centres for Seniors; and the Windsor Endowment for the Arts.
